A once in a liftime capture. Great lighting! Love the reflection in the water.

I know! I really hope one of the next 15 that they are thinking of sending up will be another night launch

I really like how sharp the smoke is and the implied motion of the lift off. Nice capture!

It was a lovely launch. We were about an hour south of Orlando. Got a good view of it from our location, even though it was a bit far away for my liking (I love feeling the rumble in my chest).

Well done, Daniella.

Thanks so much! We got VIP tickets once.... and the launch got scrubbed. I just hope in the next 15 launches that we will be fortunate again to get them, and see it from the Saturn V building.

I'm glad that you got to see it! Even if it was from further away

Shame you missed out on the VIP tickets. I enjoyed mine immensely back in 1997. Absolutely incredible experience.

Wow! Impressive capture! The central composition works well here, I think because of the surrounding darkness and the plumes of smoke on either side. It combines with the reflection to give a nice symmetry to the shot. Well done!

amazing shot. I have never seen a night lift-off, but I was able to watch Atlantis lift off several years ago. It truly is an awe-inspiring sight.

Awesome! You were much closer than I ~ lol. I took my shots from afar, over in Sanford. It was a spectacular launch, wasn't it?

Yes! It was so awesome! I just wish I could have gotten better shots. It was hard to prepair and focus with a night launch!
