I use the Quick Mask mode in Photoshop for so many things. Sometimes I use it to create a top layer so that I can work under it without messing up my foreground. Sometimes it can be used to delete a background so that the image can be used on another background.
Quick Mask replaces old techniques of magic wand, lasso, color range, and the eraser tool.
Tutorial Highlights:
Quickly access Quick Mask mode by pressing the "Q" key on your keyboard!
Paint with black to select your object (make sure to watch your hardness and opacity).
Use the white paint to erase any mess ups with the black paint! Simple and quick!
okay so my computer is a complete idiot and wont load the video, what will quick mask help with? will it help with things like making the background black without messing up the pic or something?
I'm not sure if I know what that is. I use the select similar colors thing sometimes. You'll have to point out to me which tool this is (sometimes I don't know the name)
